Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join primary schools in the Thetford area. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that build on Key Stage 1 foundations, fostering confidence, independence, and a love of learning in pupils as they prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2. Beginning ASAP.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons across the Year 2 curriculum.
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those requiring additional support.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to drive achievement.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, resources, and school initiatives.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
Ideal Year 2 Teacher
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.
