Overview

Year 5 Teacher

Break down of the role: Position available due to resignation in school. Start date: October 2025. End date: August 2026 (through agency, with permanent contract offered based upon performance). Competitive Rate of pay until December: £(Apply online only) per day (based upon experience). School based in Preston. A fantastic opportunity has presented itself in the Preston area for a passionate and knowledgeable KS2 teacher to take on a class of 29 pupils who are eager to learn. This role involves joining a collaborative and supportive team in a 'Good' Primary School. Both Early Career Teachers and Fully Qualified Teachers have been invited to apply.

This role is set to start in April due to resignation being handed in the school. As a result, the school are keen to appoint a teacher through agency to ensure a perfect fit for both the school and the teacher. Upon a successful term period, from September the school will consider placing the Teacher onto a permanent contract type.

Responsibilities
  • Plan/ differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all children.
  • Commit to wider school life e.g., extracurricular activities.
  • Utilise teaching assistant in the class effectively.
  • Be responsible for collecting evidence of progress.
  • Have a sound understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Ensure you have an awareness of the school policies and procedures.
  • Manage behaviour effectively.

  • All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
