Overview

Job Title: Workshop Technician

Business Unit: Connectors

Employing Entity: OTAQ Connectors Limited

Location: Cross Lane, Ulverston, LA12 9DQ

Reports to: Production Manager

Key Interactions (Internally): Supervisor, Engineering Dept

Purpose

The purpose of the role is to support the Connector department in the Production, Testing and Manufacture of the product range

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the preparation, manufacture and any testing of products produced.
  • Responsible for the quality of products manufactured.
  • Detailed wiring (soldering) and polyurethane moulding.
  • Be a point of contact for status of production in work in progress
  • Inspect and maintain tooling and equipment as far as possible
  • Update all necessary job cards, as built drawings as required
  • Effective management of all stock movements
  • Perform the manufacture of products in-line with the production schedule.
  • Work within the Health & Safety framework and promote a positive H&S culture.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders as required
  • Contribute to the positive development of OTAQ, it's process's and procedures
  • Work experience preferred, however full training will be given.
  • The candidate would need to be well organised, meticulous and able to work as part of a team.
Method of working

All electronic communication to be through OTAQ email or other approved channels only in line with the current IT policy

General conditions
  • This is a full-time working role with based on 38 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 5.00pm
  • 214 hours paid holidays per annum including Public holidays subject to approval under current policies
