Remuneration:

  • Salary £40-60K DOE

Purpose of the Role

Accountable for site performance. To oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the workshop, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and compliance high‑quality vehicle repairs, efficient workflow, and compliance with health and safety standards. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: Plan and organise daily workshop activities to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
  • Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill and workload.
  • Monitor repair progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations.
  • Conduct final inspections before vehicles are released.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, motivate, and develop workshop staff.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training where needed.
  • Customer Service: Liaise with customers and insurance companies regarding repair status and queries.
  • Resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain a safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Financial & Administrative Duties: Monitor workshop costs and control budgets.
  • Maintain accurate records of jobs, parts, and labour.
