We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Workshop/Field Service Supervisor to join our team in Cummins Devonport.

The successful Supervisor will be looking after both Workshop and Field Service aspects of the business in all our Cummins engine platforms in On Highway, Off Highway, Mining Marine and Power Generation equipment.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Responsible for leading and mentoring a team of technicians and apprentices
  • Consulting with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth process from beginning to end
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the Branch Leadership
  • Completing required documentation
  • Liaise with external customers with job bookings, job management and invoicing
  • Being a hands‑on Supervisor from time to time
RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Relevant trade qualification – Mechanical, Light or Heavy Vehicle, Plant Mechanic or Fitter (to Australian standards)
  • Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining, power generation on engines and similar applications is preferred
  • Proven experience leading, supervising, or mentoring within a workshop environment
  • Experience using electronic diagnostics systems is advantageous
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with a hands‑on leadership style
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting
  • Familiarity with business systems such as Movex or SAP (preferred but not essential)
  • HR (Heavy Rigid) Truck and Forklift licence and would be advantageous
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
