Qualifications

  • Must have permission to reside and work in the UK.

  • Experience with hydraulic bolt tensioning or on-site machining is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in the offshore oil and gas industry is preferred.

About CSS and the position

As a Workshop and Field Technician in CSS you will have a key role in the company.You will assemble, test, pack and ultimately install complex specialist equipment which is manufactured to customer order.

As CSS is a truly worldwide operator, you will be interacting with colleagues and customers from a variety of cultures and locations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone that is looking for a dynamic role.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Assembly, testing and packing of CSS equipment within our workshop environment.
  • Support for installation of CSS equipment at customer sites worldwide, including working on offshore platforms and supporting subsea installations from support vessels.
  • Participate inmeetingsrelating to the ongoing CSS projects or business.
  • Other activitiesrequiredto fulfil project scopes of work.
  • There will be sometravelrequired, worldwide, in order to support installation of CSS equipment at customer sites (including offshore platforms and vessels). Full support for travel provided by CSS.
Job requirements
  • This role is based in Walsall, UK. Must have permission to reside and work in UK.
  • Preference given to Engineering qualifications. Abilitytocomprehend detailed engineering drawings is required.
  • Preference given to recent relevant experiencein mechanical assembly, hydraulics, pressure testing and/or installation/commissioning of equipment.
  • Preference given to previous experience of hydraulic bolt tensioning or on-site machining.
  • Preference given to experienceworkingwithin the offshore oil and gas industry.
