Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Workshop Engineer. You would work with a wide-ranging customer base using manufacturers including Lenovo, HP, Apple and Dynabook equipment. You should be able to work in a busy, fast-paced environment under your own initiative or as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Inspecting, testing and restocking of customer owned equipment and accessories, including test and repair of products related to the business (predominantly Apple, HP, Lenovo, Dynabook and Viglen).
  • Ensure correct software/firmware is used on all repaired equipment, following test and repair procedures.
  • Ensure customers' equipment is fully refurbished and configured to high standards prior to restocking.
  • Ensure all outbound orders are completed in line with agreed SLAs.
  • Deployment of selected customer images via SCCM or USB after machines are repaired/refurbished.
  • Updating calls regularly with clear and concise detail on our call management system.
  • Good troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to ensure correct parts are ordered and achieve right first-time repair.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the ability to install and replace hardware and configure operating systems. You should be able to troubleshoot and solve technical problems independently, with a good understanding of PC hardware setup and configuration.
