Qualifications

  • Experience supervising or managing a busy commercial vehicle or HGV workshop.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage workloads, delegate tasks, and drive performance.
  • Good working knowledge of DVSA standards and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day running of the workshop including job allocation and team support.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of technicians and workshop staff.
  • Ensure all repair, service, and maintenance work is completed to DVSA and manufacturer standards.
  • Maintain high levels of productivity and ensure compliance with health & safety procedures.
  • Handle staffing, holiday planning, overtime, and shift cover requirements.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth workshop operation and customer satisfaction.
