A leading educational institution in Threemilestone is seeking a motivated Wood Machinist Apprentice to join their Construction Department. This role offers the chance to earn while learning towards a Level 2 Apprenticeship, while gaining essential experience with CNC and traditional woodworking machinery. The position includes safe operation of machinery and the application of sustainability practices in the workshop. Applicants should show motivation and interest in woodworking. Closing date is 6th October 2025.

Contract: 18 months fixed term plus End Point Assessment. We are looking for a motivated Wood Machinist Apprentice to join our Construction Department. This is a great opportunity to "earn while you learn", working towards a Level 2 Apprenticeship while gaining hands-on experience with CNC and traditional woodworking machinery.

  • Operate and maintain woodworking machinery safely.

  • Select, cut, and finish timber components to specification.

  • Read and interpret drawings and plans.

  • Apply sustainability and safe working practices in the workshop.


Qualifications


  • Motivated with an interest in woodworking, practical skills, and the motivation to succeed.

  • GCSEs in English and Maths are desirable, but support will be provided if not yet achieved.
