RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd.
To start as soon as possible, full time, fixed term
Location: IPS International (Rochester) and Greater Gabbard Offshore Windfarm (Lowestoft).

RWE Renewables offers a 3‑year apprenticeship scheme to develop into technicians working on wind turbines. The first 2 years will be classroom‑based at IPS International training facility in Rochester, followed by on‑site training at Greater Gabbard Offshore Wind Farm in Lowestoft.
The apprenticeship is designed to lead to an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Mechatronics Maintenance Technician).
Wind Turbine Technicians work as part of a small team focused on specific offshore wind farms, learning to carry out all aspects of wind turbine maintenance – scheduled, unscheduled, proactive, and troubleshooting – while working at sea, in all weathers, and at height with heavy, complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
We are looking for motivated individuals who are keen to learn and undertake a practical role. Due to the high complexity of the role, standby or on‑call availability may be required.
All apprentices will study full‑time for the first 2 years at IPS International, Rochester, before being deployed for the 3rd year at Greater Gabbard Offshore Windfarm for hands‑on experience on a wind farm.
Term‑time accommodation will be provided for the first 2 years, with travel expenses paid for two journeys per month between the Lowestoft area and the term‑time address.
During term time a weekly allowance will be provided for food and drink while away from home.
25 days (to be taken outside of term time), plus public holidays.
We value diversity and therefore welcome all applications, irrespective of gender, disability, nationality, ethnic and social background, religion and beliefs, age or sexual orientation and identity. RWE represents change, innovation and sustainability, aiming to be carbon‑neutral by 2040.
