Overview
  • Legal Secretary – Gloucestershire
  • Full time (4 days per week may be considered)
  • £18,000 -£21,000 DOE

Thomson & Bancks are a regional law firm, with offices in Tewkesbury, Cheltenham and Pershore. We provide a full range of legal services to businesses and individuals. We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our busy Private Client Department, working across our offices as required. Candidates with previous wills and probate experience are at an advantage but those with general legal experience will also be considered. The role covers the tasks typically required of a legal secretary and will focus on document production, managing correspondence, administration of files, diary management and client contact. Key requirements
  • Legal secretarial experience (Private Client experience preferable)
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills and ability to work proactively in supporting the team
  • Highly IT literate, including use of Word (including tracked changes), Excel, online resources and digital dictation systems
  • Experience of case management systems (Tikit/P4W preferred) and electronic file management, or the determination to learn and develop experience
  • Highly motivated, accurate with a good eye for detail and the ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and to manage and prioritise workload
  • Good telephone skills and confident in dealings with clients and colleagues
Hours of work

9:00 – 17:00, Monday – Friday.
