Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant - SRB Class (Part-Time, Caerphilly)

88.94 per day (rate may increase based on experience, qualifications, and client rate)

We are currently recruiting for a Fluent Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant to work in a Welsh-medium primary school in Caerphilly, supporting pupils within a Specialist Resource Base (SRB). This part-time position is to start immediately, working Thursdays and Fridays each week.

Role Overview:
  • Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a small, nurturing SRB class
  • Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
  • Work closely with the class teacher and wider support team to deliver high-quality, inclusive education
  • Contribute to a positive, structured learning environment that promotes pupil wellbeing and progress
Requirements:
  • Fluent Welsh speaker - essential for communication and curriculum delivery
  • Experience working with children with ALN in a primary school or similar setting
  • Enhanced DBS (on the update service) - or willing to obtain one
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting individual pupil needs
