Compensation: £33,951 - £37,694 / year
We are seeking Wellbeing Advisors to deliver triage and assessment for student enquiries, complete risk screenings and safety plans, along with managing a caseload providing specialist wellbeing interventions, advice and support.
You will provide triage, assessment and risk management for students, delivering effective early interventions and tailored safety plans. You will offer first responses to disclosures, make appropriate referrals, and lead enhanced support for independent students, including coordinating processes such as Support to Study and the University Mediation Service.
The role also involves developing and delivering wellbeing workshops, resources and campaigns, supporting peer-led initiatives, and working collaboratively across the University. You will contribute expert advice to strategic projects, maintain high-quality case records, and play an active role in continuous service improvement.
The role involves autonomous and team-based work within established protocols, as well as contributing to project activity throughout the year. Suitable candidates will be confident in managing a varied and demanding caseload and committed to high-quality student support.

Salary: Grade 6, starting from £33,951 rising to £37,694 per annum
The salary range shows the potential maximum pay progression in addition to any annual inflationary increase to your pay. Please note that our default position is to appoint into the lower end of the range, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
The post-holder will be expected to undertake relevant training and take a proactive role in developing their knowledge of the context within which work is undertaken across Student Experience and at Bath Spa University.
Wellbeing Advisors work to the same job description and these post holders work closely together and in conjunction with their line-manager to agree who will take the lead on specific areas of work.
Occasional out-of-hours working, including evenings and specific weekends may be required.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore the successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Annual leave opportunities during term time, particularly in September and October, may be limited to ensure continuity of service provision. Leave allocation will be managed across the team to minimise impact on service delivery.
