$48.30 – $60.95 per hour full time afternoon

About the Role

As a Welder at Century Engineering, you will:

  • Interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Utilise specialised tools like welding machines and cutting torches.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
  • Uphold safety standards and maintain an organised workspace.
  • Carry out high end welding in multiple positions to a very high-quality standard.
  • Shift Hours – Afternoon; 3:00pm to 11:06pm.

What We’re Looking For
  • Proficiency in reading and fabricating from engineering drawings.
  • Ability to read understand and comply with Welding Procedure Specifications.
  • Strong welding skills with the ability to work to tight tolerances and proficiency with AS1554.5 and defence codes a bonus.
  • Experience in MIG, TIG, FCAW, MCAW (proficiency with Metal cored process a major bonus due to this being our main process for defence contracts).
  • Ability to self-inspect work to the relevant code and hold yourself to a high standard.
  • Commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Must be in Australia and have the right to work full time.
  • Candidates must pass a pre-qualification weld test and demonstrate competence in interpreting technical drawings.
