Job description

As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing various welding techniques to join metal parts together according to specifications and blueprints. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and be able to work with different types of metal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding techniques
  • Set up and operate welding equipment and tools, including MIG, TIG, and arc welders
  • Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding by using various cleaning methods such as grinding, sanding, and chemical baths
  • Perform welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join metal parts together
  • Inspect completed welds for quality and make any necessary repairs or adjustments
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and to meet quality standards
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
  • Continuously seek to improve skills and knowledge in welding techniques and equipment
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Welder
  • Knowledge of different welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications

Working Conditions:

This is a full‑time, permanent position located in England, UK. The working hours are typically Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional overtime as needed. The job may require standing for extended periods, working in various weather conditions, and lifting heavy objects. Personal protective equipment will be provided.
