A dedicated care provider in the Nottingham area is seeking a compassionate Support Worker for nighttime shifts. Responsibilities include assisting individuals with personal care and promoting independence. Ideal candidates will have experience in care settings and an in-date enhanced DBS check. The role offers an hourly rate of £12.75 and accrued holiday pay, with hours running from 10 PM to 7 AM, Monday to Friday.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker looking for nighttime work, who lives in the Nottingham, NG12 area.

In this role, you will play a vital part in empowering individuals to achieve their personal goals while ensuring their safety and well-being in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist individuals with their nighttime living activities, including meal preparation and personal care.
  • Support clients in developing independent living skills through engaging activities.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive outcomes.
  • Encourage participation in community activities to enhance social skills and confidence.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and any incidents that occur during shifts.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Follow and support each resident’s personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
  • Keep a close eye on residents’ health, communicating any concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and helping with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
  • Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued, respected and cared for.
  • Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Work with the existing team to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
  • Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Proven experience within a similar care environment
  • A checkable work history
  • Up-to-date mandatory training documents, including Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults, Moving and Handling, and Infection Control
  • An in-date enhanced DBS check

We are unable to offer support for VISA applicants.

This is an ongoing opportunity, with typical hours starting at 22:00 and finishing at 07:00 the next morning, Monday to Friday. You will be paid an hourly rate of £12.75 per hour, with added 28 days accrued holiday pay.
