Job description

Our client is a highly successful water treatment company, who offers wide range of professional water management services to clients across the UK. They are currently recruiting for a committed and multi‑skilled Water Treatment Pre‑commissioning Engineer based in and around the London area. The ideal applicant will come from a strong water treatment / Pre‑commissioning background and will have extensive experience carrying out the flushing of water systems to BSRIA standards. Consideration will be given to applications from St Albans, Wembley, Slough, Dartford, Romford and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & experience
  • The applicant must come from a strong chemical, technical and water hygiene/water treatment background.
  • Experience of working in a supervisory role within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.
  • Have extensive experience carrying out pre‑commissioning works to BSRIA standard.
  • Experience within a supervisor role would be beneficial.
  • A good working knowledge of the water treatment industry and legislations.
  • Competent in using the Microsoft Office Package.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Role
  • Organisation of equipment required for works to be carried out.
  • Planning of work schedules.
  • Attending sites to establish works required.
  • Tank cleans, disinfection of mains water systems, descales, changing and replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, etc.
  • Monitor client’s air and water systems to ensure compliance with the current Health and Safety legislation.
  • Cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold water systems and cooling towers, etc.
  • Temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems.
  • Install and maintain dosing systems.
  • Training of site staff where required.
  • Maintaining a professional working relationship with clients.
