Water Treatment Operations Manager

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear.

Salary / Benefits: £30k – £55k + Company Car, Benefits.

Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Water Treatment Operations Manager to join a leading player within the Water Treatment / Water Hygiene industry. The successful candidate will manage and provide training to a team of established engineers / risk assessors, streamline company processes, manage work schedules and work alongside account managers to provide accurate quotations for clients. Extensive experience in the Water Treatment / Legionella industry and strong management skills are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Efficiently plan and manage the company’s Water Treatment / Water Hygiene / Legionella work schedule.
  • Find ways to efficiently streamline company processes.
  • Assist in training new employees as well as training existing employees.
  • Conduct annual appraisals.
  • Oversee a team of engineers, ensuring work is carried out in line with ACoP L8 / Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Work closely with account managers to produce accurate quotes / tenders for clients.
  • Attend meetings with clients, representing the company in a professional manner.
  • Act as first point of contact for clients, providing continuous support and advice.
  • Ensure work is completed in line with agreed timelines.
  • Continue to build and maintain excellent working relationships with clients.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Experience working hands‑on within the Water Treatment / Water Hygiene industry is essential.
  • Excellent management, leadership, and operational skills.
  • In‑depth knowledge of HSG / ACoP L8 guidelines.
  • Excellent technical understanding and knowledge of chemicals relating to water treatment/water hygiene.
  • Extensive knowledge of water treatment Health & Safety processes, and RAMS.
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial management and reporting.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with clients and colleagues of all levels.
