Job description

A valuable opportunity has arisen within a versatile water treatment company who supply professional legionella, water treatment and water hygiene services to a national client base. They are currently recruiting for an experienced and multi-skilled Water Hygiene/Treatment Engineer based in and around the Reading area. The successful applicant will come from a strong water hygiene/treatment background and will be experienced in undertaking a range of routine duties including carrying out sampling and monitoring duties as well as cleaning and chlorination. Consideration will be given to applications from Guildford, Slough, Woking, and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & experience:
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have previous experience working as water hygiene/treatment engineer.
  • A qualification in remedial plumbing will be advantageous.
  • Well versed with the water treatment industry and legislations.
  • Competent with Microsoft office package.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the client’s air and water systems to ensure they comply with the current Health and Safety legislation.
  • The cleaning, chlorination and maintenance on both hot and cold water systems, steam boilers and cooling towers.
  • Temperature monitoring, conduct routine sampling and analysing water systems.
  • Inspection and Disinfection of CWST.
  • Servicing TMVs, shower cleans, tank cleans etc.
  • Dealing with softeners and dosing units.
  • Install and maintain dosing systems.
  • Undertake training and mentoring of staff.
  • Liaising with clients on a regular basis.
