An opportunity has arisen within a prominent water hygiene company that offers a wide range of water treatment/hygiene and legionella services to a diverse client base. The company is currently recruiting an experienced and hardworking Water Hygiene Engineer based in and around the Guildford area. The ideal candidate will have some experience in undertaking water hygiene duties such as routine temperature monitoring and water sampling. Applications from Kingston Upon Thames, Crawley, Woking, Reigate, and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Must come from a good educational, water hygiene/legionella, chemical and technical background.
  • Must be conversant with the ACOP L8 guidelines.
  • Some hands‑on experience delivering water hygiene duties to a varied site base.
  • Experience undertaking remedial plumbing duties will be beneficial.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good IT skills, including competency in MS Office.
Duties within the role
  • Carrying out disinfection of mains water systems, tank cleans and descales, replacing tanks, remedial work, flushing systems, water softeners, etc.
  • Monitoring client’s air and water systems and ensuring compliance with current Health and Safety legislation.
  • Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold‑water systems and cooling towers.
  • Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems.
  • Undertaking maintenance and installation of dosing systems.
  • Submitting accurate paperwork including reports.
  • Building and maintaining a good rapport with the clients.

Overall the successful applicant will be hardworking and flexible, demonstrating the ability to work independently to agreed timescales and must be prepared to travel to designated sites as per client’s requirements.
