Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Water Hygiene Engineer to complete a range of Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling, chemical testing, minor plumbing and electro / mechanical tasks to meet clients' requirements. We welcome applicants with limited or no direct experience, provided they have relevant experience in similar fields. Main Duties
- Completion of routine monitoring tasks in line with the Approved Code of Practice L8. This is a mobile role, travelling to client sites and completing the necessary tasks to maintain compliance.
- To be an ambassador for Mitie whilst visiting customers sites.
- Maintain our customer's water log books and complete the necessary documentation in accordance with current guidelines and company policy.
- To take a variety of water samples from multiple sector properties and document these samples in line with company procedures.
- Carry out water system clean and disinfections in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company procedures.
- Testing, servicing and maintaining of thermostatic mixing valves and basic plumbing works where required.
- The ability to complete works on heating and chilled water systems and chlorine dioxide systems is desirable but not essential.
- To communicate on a daily basis to the service department that all tasks are carried out efficiently.
- Maintain adequate stocks of chemicals and materials as necessary.
- Ensure that any equipment that you are responsible is kept clean and is properly maintained.

- Can you take a personal responsibility for your own health and safety and the safety of those around you? You will be required to follow safety procedures as per company policy and any site-specific or additional client requirements.
- Completing any reasonable task requested by your manager and / or the business.
What we are looking for
- Someone with previous experience within Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring or Water Treatment is essential.
- We welcome applicants with limited or no direct experience, provided they have relevant experience in similar fields.
- Advanced knowledge and experience of maintaining water systems is desirable.
- Basic IT skills, including the use of tablets / mobile devices and Microsoft programmes are necessary.
- The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively is required in every part of this role.
