Domestic Waste Technician

• Annual Salary: Circa £27,500
• Location: Field Based - Bury St Edmunds/Ipswich area
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

As part of Alpheus, a key division within Anglian Water Group, you will play a crucial role in managing the safe and compliant discharge of domestic waste across our Water Recycling Centres.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee daily operations at domestic waste import sites.
• Conduct site and equipment checks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Promote and uphold health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Sample and assess waste for compliance and report any irregularities.
• Provide professional, friendly support to customers and site teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Based around the Bury St Edmunds/Ipswich area.
• Flexible approach to working hours to cover core business hours.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working outdoors and in operational environments.
• Knowledge of wastewater regulations and the sewage industry (desirable).
