Domestic Waste Technician

As part of Alpheus, a key division within Anglian Water Group, you will play a crucial role in managing the safe and compliant discharge of domestic waste across our Water Recycling Centres.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee daily operations at domestic waste import sites.
- Conduct site and equipment checks, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high housekeeping standards.
- Promote and uphold health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Sample and assess waste for compliance and report any irregularities.
- Provide professional, friendly support to customers and site teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Based around the Bury St Edmunds/Ipswich area.
- Flexible approach to working hours to cover core business hours.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working outdoors and in operational environments.
- Knowledge of wastewater regulations and the sewage industry (desirable).
