JOB DESCRIPTION

Warehouse Operator / Flakes Packing

Full time 39 hrs per week.

Rate£13.69

Start at 8am-4pm

Then once trained will change to shifts

Week 1 6am-2pm Mon-Thur, Fri 6am-1pm

Week 2 1pm-9pm Mon-Thur Fri 1pm-8pm

this will include shift premium of £2.67

REPORTING TO Warehouse Team Leader

RESPONSIBLE FOR This role has no employees reporting to it

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

This role contributes directly to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring accurate, timely, and safe execution of Warehouse Operating Procedures.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The role will ensure

• Forklift Trucks are checked in line with the work instructions as required
• Forklift Trucks are operated safely at all times
• Lorries are loaded and/or unloaded as per working instructions
• Pallets are checked, recorded then placed in the storage area ready for use
• Damaged pallets are not used or off loaded and are placed in designated area for repair
• Appropriate bags are used
• Use warehouse management system (WMS) to record stock movements
• Ensure tickets/dockets are available prior to flakes packing
• The stitcher is checked as required prior to flakes packing
• Weighers are checked in line with operating procedure prior to flakes packing
• Bags are weighed and recorded in line with operating procedure
• Bags are filled, stitched labelled as required
• Regular visual inspection of product in line with work instructions and operating procedures
• Records and documents are completed as required
• Pallets are loaded / unloaded in line with operational procedures
• Pallets are placed in the appropriate storage bay
• Spillages are reported to the Team Leader and cleaned as required
• Support of carousel operation in line with operational requirements
• The replenishment of supplements is supported
• Orders are made up, stored and loaded as per the appropriate work instruction
• Waste is disposed of in line with management procedures
• Stock dates are checked and stock is rotated
• Work is carried out in line with work instructions and operating procedures
• All housekeeping activities are adhered to
• All company policy is complied with and supported
• All Health & safety procedures are adhered
• All relevant training is attended
• Any other duties are carried out as appropriate
• Compliance with company HACCP feed safety policies and procedures
