Role

Warehouse Operative

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to the efficient running of the despatch/distribution process of material and finished good products. The successful candidate will be required to locate and despatch product throughout the site, ensuring product is rotated and dispatched in accordance with instructions.

This position is 40 hours per week with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday 6.00am-2.00pm/2.00pm-10.00pm (rotating shifts)

Responsibilities
  • Participate in shift team meetings
  • Contribute information for adjustment of despatch plans
  • Receipting and despatching of goods
  • Ensure that timely and accurate records for receipting and despatching goods are maintained using WMS booking system/ Excel spreadsheets
  • Maintain communication with colleagues in other departments e.g. production, packing, QA, logistics
  • Ensure assembled orders, product are accurate to customer requirements
  • Movement of raw material/ product around the site using a forklift and other lifting equipment
  • Operation of an Automated Wrapping Machine
  • Follow all health, safety and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist with end of month stock takes
  • General Yard/Warehouse Housekeeping activities
The Person
  • Valid Counterbalance OR Reach Forklift license with 12 months recent operation experience
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a stores/warehousing environment
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C (or above) or equivalent
  • Valid UK full driving licence
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office particularly Excel
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of safe working practices are applied in the stores environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to display initiative and apply problem solving skills
  • Able to plan and organise tasks effectively
  • Willing to work flexible hours including, early starts and late finishes to cover absence/holidays when required.
