About The Role

At InPost Newstrade we have an opening for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to come and join our team in Maidstone. As a company, InPost is continuously evolving and we are looking for someone who not only wants to be part of that growth but also somebody who can assist with it and help in continuing to accelerate us forward. InPost Newstrade is a time-critical Logistics Business, Delivering Supply Chain Solutions across Newstrade, Retail, eCommerce and more.

Location: Unit C, Larkfield Industrial Estate, New Hythe Lane, Aylesford ME20 6SW

Shift Pattern: Tuesday - Saturday

Hours: Tuesday - Friday 07:00am - 16:15pm / Saturday 07:30am - 14:15pm

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 depending on experience

What Youll Be Doing

You will be responsible for maximising the performance of the operations by directing the daily, weekly and monthly activities, providing leadership, motivation, training and development of the workforce, executing against customer requirements. Ability to manage remote teams where necessary and dealing with customers on a daily basis.

Operations Manager Duties
  • Responsible for the hub picking, processing operation of magazines for 5000+ retailers.
  • Manage, support, and develop the operational team
  • Ensure the performance of the operation exceeds customer expectations in line with recognised contract KPI's.
  • Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Ensure operational compliance including H&S
  • Assist the General Manager in ensuring all operational performance standards are met
  • Manage the team, undertaking regular reviews plan and arrange for the training and development of operational staff
  • Ensure and monitor effective use of driver and vehicle resources
  • Establish and develop working relationships with the customer
  • Coordinate site housekeeping/maintenance to ensure H&S requirements are upheld
  • Some UK travelling maybe required.
