Job Title: Warehouse/Forklift Operative
Location: Canvey Island, Essex SS8
Job Type: Temporary
Salary: £12.21 - £14 (negotiable)
Start Date: Immediate start available

SHIFTS: Mon - Fri (MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH DAYS)

Please Note: A VALID IN-DATE FLT LICENSE IS REQUIRED - Candidate with their own transport is preferred due to location of site.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse/Forklift Operative to join our busy client in Canvey Island. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including picking and packing, loading/unloading deliveries, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles
• Sort, move, and store stock within the warehouse
• Carry out regular stock checks and report discrepancies
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe
• Follow company processes and procedures for handling goods
• Assist with goods-in and goods-out operations
• Use hand-held scanners and other warehouse equipment (training provided if needed)
• Support team members and contribute to smooth daily operations

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience preferred but not essential
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Flexibility to work overtime or shift patterns when required
