Overview

Ward Manager, Acute Ward: co-ordinate the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment. Participate with the multidisciplinary team and undertake direct patient care, while managing delivery of clinical services within a ward and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, current legislation and quality standards. Provide supervision and support to develop and progress ward staff.

Responsibilities

• As Ward Manager, co-ordinate the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment.
• Participate with the multidisciplinary team and undertake direct patient care while managing delivery of clinical services within a ward, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, current legislation and quality standards.
• Provide supervision and support and help develop and progress staff working within the ward.
