A leading healthcare organization in Manchester seeks an Administrative Support Officer for the Acute Medical Unit. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative services, acting as a first point of contact, and ensuring smooth unit operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They must be flexible to work 7-day rotational shifts, including nights and holidays. The position emphasizes confidentiality and teamwork, with opportunities for personal growth in a supportive environment.
To ensure the provision of a full range of administrative, clerical and reception support service for the Acute Medical Unit, Ward Manager and Clinical teams.
The post holder will be responsible for providing administrative support to the unit to ensure its smooth operation and running. The post holder’s primary role will be to assist in providing a comprehensive efficient administrative system to the unit’s multidisciplinary staff that ensures they are supported in their roles. Working as a member of the team they will act as the main focal and central access point for communication within the unit and be responsible for collating and disseminating information and data that facilitates the day‑to‑day unit operation. They will help all levels of staff, patients, relatives, and members of the public as well as outside organisations and agencies. Using their communication skills, the post holder will have the ability to use their initiative, working with minimal supervision to tight deadlines and maintain a flexible approach whilst respecting confidentiality for work undertaken.
This role is a 7 day rotational shifts working days and nights and all bank holidays included.
