Job description
Role Overview

A position has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to undertake the role of Health Records Assistant in various wards, Acute Services Directorate. The work pattern will be variable to meet the needs of the service.

Candidate Profile

You will have relevant experience in a clerical/reception setting. You will have excellent interpersonal and organisation skills together with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office software. You will be computer confident and able to work accurately under pressure whilst having attention to detail and be able to work co-operatively within a team with a mature outlook.

Duties Of The Post Will Include
  • Dealing with telephone calls from Nursing Staff and GPs, together with patients and relatives which can be challenging, requiring empathy and tact.
  • Responsible for accurate filing of patients notes when discharged from the ward.
  • Extensive physical activity in dealing with movement and transferring of case notes.
  • The postholder must be self motivated in prioritising their day to day duties in a very fast paced environment.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.
