Job description
Overview

The Priory Highfields is looking to recruit a Waking Nights Support Worker to join their team. This is a full time, permanent role.

Highfields is located in Chasetown, Staffordshire. We offer residential support for eight males and females who are autistic or have a learning disability. Highfields is on the edge of a suburban area, close to a local Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We want to provide person-centred support to improve the health and wellbeing of the people we care for, enabling them to have a healthy, happy and independent life, within a safe and welcoming home.

Shifts: 20:00 - 08:30 (Must be able to work alternating weekends). Full Time, 37.5hrs per week across three 12.5 hour shifts. Hourly salary: £12.60.

Responsibilities
  • Support with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
  • Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
  • Assist with attendance at medical appointments
  • Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
  • Support the development of important family connections and liaise with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
  • Encourage participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
