Waiting List Coordinator - Ophthalmology

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Waiting List Coordinator to the Ophthalmology Team at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.The Waiting List Coordinator post involves liaising with clinicians and patients to agree dates for pre-assessment and procedures/operations. It will also involve cancelling and rescheduling patient admissions where necessary. The post holder will manage waiting lists, schedule elective admissions, undertake validation of data and escalate any issues to the management team if required. The post holder must be comfortable engaging with patients as well as clinical teams.The successful candidate will need to be organised and confident and be able to multi-task and prioritise work. Previous experience in similar role such as a patient pathway co-ordinator or medical secretary will be beneficial as will a working knowledge of Referral To Treatment (RTT) standards, though training will be provided.
