Job summary

A prominent social-focused venue in Greater London is seeking warm and engaging Waiting Staff for their new rooftop restaurant, Rucola. You will provide thoughtful service and explain seasonal menus that highlight sustainability and local sourcing. Waiting Staff – Rucola at TheConduit Full Time, Part Time or 0 Hours contracts available.

Set in the heart of CoventGarden, The Conduit serves as a home for people passionate about achievingpositive social, environmental, and economic change.

We are excited to announce thatRucola, from New York, will be opening in our rooftop restaurant. Theethos of The Conduit and Rucola are strongly aligned in our desire forsustainability, through striving for zero waste, carbon neutrality, and responsiblesourcing from local producers.

Rucola was born out of a desireto highlight farm to table cuisine in the heart of Brooklyn. Therestaurant looks to encourage consumers, chefs and restaurateurs to considerthe impact of biodiversity and seasonality in the food and wine that we consume,and nurturing positive relationships between producers, farmers, chefs, andbuyers.

Rucola will delight ourcustomers with the flavours of Northern Italy, with a seasonally changing,plant driven, menu which will always highlight the best produce available.

You will be quality driven andhave a personal interest and experience in the principles of sustainability andzero waste and striving always to work in way that has a light touch impact onour environment.

We are looking forwarmand engaging waiting staff who will provide well considered, generousservice to all members and guests of Rucola and The Conduit

Responsibilities
  • You will take an active interestin the dishes on the seasonal menus, and be able to explain not only thecontents of the dishes, but the background of our supplies and ethos.
  • Your positive approach to ourguests and anticipate the needs so their experience is extremely positive andmemorable.
  • If you have a knowledge or interestin wine this will also be very useful in this role, and allow you to assist ourcustomers with wine pairing.

Working at Rucola will be anexciting and interesting role, with seasonally changing menus, and it will bevery advantageous that you have a strong interest in organic and artisan foods,and interested in learning about new products and the story behind them.
