Job summary

A leading end-of-life charity in Plymouth is seeking compassionate volunteers to join their Hospital Companion service. In this role, you will provide emotional support and companionship to patients with terminal diagnoses, committing 3 hours per week. Participants will receive full training, wellbeing support, and the chance to make a meaningful difference. Ideal candidates should be respectful, empathetic, and able to use basic IT tools. Join our Hospital Companion service at Mount Gould Hospital or Derriford Hospital, where you can make a meaningful difference to people with a terminal diagnosis.

As a volunteer, you'll offer emotional support, companionship, and a calming presence to people who need it most. Each week, you'll spend time with someone - listening, chatting, and simply being there when they need a friendly face.

Availability: 3 hours per week - flexible to suit your schedule
