A music education organization seeks a skilled Viola tutor to teach at their Saturday Music Academy in Cheam. Passionate candidates who can inspire and engage young musicians are encouraged to apply. Available teaching includes approximately 3.5 hours on Saturday mornings, with potential for individual and small group lessons. Degree and experience working with children preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with whole-class groups of children and young people is desirable.
  • Candidates will have a passion and belief in the power of music education.
  • Willingness to upskill and engage in professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Viola at Cheam Park Farm Primary Academy on Saturday mornings.
  • Inspire children and young people through their musical journey.

£35.18 per hour

Sutton Music Trust (SMT) seeks a skilled and engaging Viola tutor to teach at our Saturday Music Academy in Cheam. If you are passionate about music education and playing a part in the progression of young musicians, we look forward to hearing from you!

  • Location: Cheam Park Farm Primary Academy, SM3 9UE
  • Contract Type: Self-Employed
  • Start Date: November 2025
  • Closing Date: 30th September 2025

We are keen to hear from experienced Viola teachers to teach at our Music Academy with approximately 3.5 hours of teaching available (Saturday mornings).

There may also be opportunities to teach in one-on-one and small group settings in schools. The ability to also teach Violin is preferable.

If you are passionate about inspiring children and young people to sing and play with energy and enthusiasm, we would love to hear from you!

Candidates will:

  • Have a passion and belief in the power of music education
  • Show willingness to upskill and get involved in CPD opportunities
  • Be able to engage and inspire young people through their musical journey

Experience working with whole-class groups of children and young people is desirable.
