Description

Newsquest is seeking a talented video producer to join our successful central editorial news team and help us build on our thriving video content strategy across our network of more than 200 news sites.

The successful candidate will possess a finely tuned news sense and be at the forefront of video production and best practice at Newsquest, sourcing and producing high-quality, engaging video content drives engagement and reaches millions of viewers every month.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about video storytelling and the power of compelling visual content to bring news to life, while maintaining the highest standards of editorial quality and authenticity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within our central digital team and collaborate with newsrooms across the country.
  • Spot opportunities and act quickly, using strong news judgement to decide what videos best fit our content and audiences and how they should be presented.
  • Develop technical and creative skills using industry-standard production tools.
  • Collaborate across editorial teams to maximise video engagement and reach.
  • Help shape new tools for journalists and spread best practice across newsrooms.
  • Support problem-solving for journalists on ongoing projects.
