Overview

Ryecroft Academy is excited to announce an opportunity for a Vice Principal. The role will commence in January 2026, and we are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to enhance our Senior Leadership Team and contribute to the ongoing success of the academy. Additionally, we are seeking a versatile and impactful leader who can contribute significantly to system and across trust improvement. As Vice Principal, you will play a key role in supporting the strategic direction of the Academy, working closely with the Principal, staff, pupils, governors, trust leaders and parents/carers to maintain a culture of high achievement and continuous improvement. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate leader committed to shaping the future of education at Ryecroft Academy and in other settings.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Principal and senior leadership team to develop and implement the Academy's strategic vision and improvement plan
  • Promote high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil wellbeing across the Academy
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and excellence
  • Develop strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders to support the academy's objectives
  • Provide highly effective line management to ensure staff are empowered to provide the best possible education and care for our children
  • Enable impactful and sustainable system improvement
Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in an educational setting, in a senior role
  • Strong track record of driving improvements in pupil outcomes and fostering a positive school culture
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and substantial experience in leadership roles
  • In depth knowledge of enabling excellent provision and support for pupils with SEND and pupils who are new to English and/or have English as an additional language
Desirable Skills
  • Experience as Vice Principal or in a similar senior leadership role
  • A commitment to inclusive education and supporting students from disadvantaged and diverse backgrounds
