A leading veterinary practice in Ipswich is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to provide exceptional care in a supportive environment. The role offers mentorship, professional development, and a competitive salary between £35,000–£65,000 DOE. You will work with a team dedicated to continuity of care with state-of-the-art facilities. This is a part-time role with flexible accommodation available in a picturesque coastal location.
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving, independent small animal practice in beautiful Suffolk, offering the perfect blend of high clinical standards, a supportive team, and an unbeatable work-life balance. Set in a stunning coastal region, this practice enjoys a loyal and engaged client base that values a proactive approach to their pets’ care and the team is fully equipped to deliver it.
With state-of-the‑art facilities including a CT scanner, laparoscopic surgery equipment, in‑house laboratory, dental radiography, and ultrasound, you’ll have everything you need to provide outstanding veterinary care from day one!
You’ll be working alongside highly experienced veterinary colleagues, all with 10+ years in practice, creating an environment where support, mentorship, and professional development come naturally. This close‑knit team of vets, RVNs, and receptionists prides itself on building sincere client relationships with an emphasis on continuity of care and exceptional communication, qualities they expect and encourage in their next team member.
The practice champions a healthy work‑life balance, reflected in its 6 pm finish for all staff, low turnover, and a genuinely positive culture. The owners go above and beyond to recognise and reward their team, including taking the entire practice abroad for off‑site training blended with sunshine, fun, and relaxation. With free temporary accommodation available for up to three months (with flexible extension options), this is an ideal role for someone looking to settle into a picturesque coastal community while joining a practice that truly values its people.
This position is perfect for an all‑round GP vet confident in both surgery and consulting, with 20‑minute appointments as standard. You’ll also have the chance to expand your horizons through involvement in the business side of practice life if this interests you. With a regular peripatetic surgeon covering orthopaedic procedures, your caseload will be varied, manageable, and clinically fulfilling.
If you’re seeking a rewarding role in a stunning location with a supportive, experienced team and cutting‑edge facilities, this is an opportunity not to be missed!
