Overview
Vehicle Technician
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our team. This role involves carrying out inspections, repairs, and servicing on a variety of vehicles to the highest standards. The position is Monday to Friday - no weekend work required.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and effectively.
- Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.
- Conduct MOT pre-checks and ensure vehicles meet DVSA standards (if applicable).
- Maintain accurate service records and complete job cards.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures.
- Use diagnostic equipment and follow technical manuals.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers if needed.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and procedures.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a vehicle technician or mechanic.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Desirable (but not essential)
- MOT Tester certification.
- Experience with hybrid/electric vehicles.
- Manufacturer training/accreditations.
