Overview

Vehicle Technician (Fareham) - HC622386

Job Title: Vehicle Technician - HC622386

Location: Fareham

Pay Grade: Scale 6, £36,247.00 - £38,329.00 per annum which includes a £4,000.00 market supplement. Plus overtime opportunities.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week. Hours of work are Monday to Friday (08:00 - 16:30, Monday to Thursday) and Friday 08:00 - 16:00.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair and maintain various vehicles for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police Transport Department.
  • Work on a variety of fleet vehicles, including high performance cars for roads policing and armed response, and vans for public order operations.
  • Carry out servicing, repairs and vehicle road tests; perform basic vehicle fits to ensure police use readiness.
  • Work under pressure and, when required, unsupervised on vehicles fitted with police equipment.
  • Contribute to keeping the fleet fully operational at the Fareham workshop.
  • Support local and national events as part of the role.
