Qualifications

Location: North West Hub Workshop

About the role

Join the largest, and greenest, fleet operator in the UK as an IMI Level 3 qualified mechanic at the North West Hub Workshop. This permanent role offers the chance to work on a variety of light and heavy vehicles, including traditional fuel and electric vehicles, LCVs, and HGVs.

Working Hours

Full time – 39.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks). Rotating 3‑week shift pattern: weeks 1 & 2 working 06:00–14:00, week 3 working 13:00–21:30. Saturday and Sunday work occurs 1 in 3 weeks.

A bit about the role

With a fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, maintaining our fleet requires a team effort. As a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) workshop, we need technicians experienced with HGVs.

  • Perform full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repair procedures on vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment.
  • Use your own personal toolkit for routine maintenance and repair of HGVs.
  • Access specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.
A bit about you
  • Qualified mechanic: fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent) and have your own toolkit for standard repairs.
  • Varied vehicle experience: proven vehicle technician experience on a wide range of vehicles, e.g., HGVs.
  • Valid UK driving licence: full manual UK licence, preferably HGV with trailer experience.
  • High working standards: take pride in your work and ensure tasks are completed effectively.
  • Flexible to service demands: can work a flexible shift rota and support the team when needed.
