Overview

Recently Qualified Vehicle Mechanic required in Petersfield, Hampshire

Pay: £28,000 with regular pay reviews as you skill up and develop your mechanical knowledge

Hours: 8:00 – 17:30 Monday - Friday with breaks; Saturday mornings on a rotational basis

About the employer

Our client a leading automotive service provider dedicated to delivering top-quality vehicle repair and maintenance services. They are currently looking to add a Recently Qualified Vehicle Mechanic to their vehicle workshop team.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting thorough vehicle inspections and diagnosing mechanical issues.
  • Performing routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
  • Effectively using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems.
  • Assisting senior mechanics with complex repair tasks.
  • Ensuring all work is performed in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Keeping accurate records of repairs and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications
  • Recently qualified as a vehicle mechanic or have completed an accredited automotive mechanical qualification such as light vehicle maintenance and repair NVQ's, City & Guilds, IMI etc.
  • A strong passion for automotive repair and a desire to learn and grow in the workshop.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and components.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
