Job summary

A leading automotive service provider in Cardiff is seeking skilled Vehicle Technicians to provide high-quality vehicle servicing and repairs. Candidates should hold a Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance. Responsibilities include diagnosing vehicle issues and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role offers a salary up to £40,000 OTE and full manufacturer training in a modern workshop environment.

Qualifications

  • Full manual UK driving license (maximum of 6 points).
  • Previous main dealer workshop experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues, including non-routine defects.
  • Continuously developing technical knowledge to meet brand standards.
  • Maximizing productivity using workshop facilities.
  • Ensuring work is completed safely and to customer satisfaction.
  • Supporting best practice within the workshop.
  • Participating in regular training.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles to the highest standards
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues, including non‑routine defects, in the workshop and during road tests
  • Continuously developing your technical knowledge and staying up to date with brand standards
  • Using workshop facilities and processes to maximise productivity
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to full customer satisfaction
  • Supporting high performance and best practice within the workshop
  • Taking part in regular training to further enhance your skills and knowledge
What We’re Looking For
  • A full manual UK driving licence (maximum of 6 points)

Key Information

Hours : Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays (paid at 1.5x overtime)

Salary : Up to £40,000 OTE depending on experience
