A regional fire service in Aylesbury is seeking a Vehicle Technician for servicing and maintenance of emergency vehicles. The successful candidate will have a strong background in vehicle repairs, ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 Heavy Vehicle qualification, and be self-motivated. Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service have an exciting vacancy for a Vehicle Technician. This role is based in the workshop at Headquarters – in Stocklake, Aylesbury – where we are committed to providing an excellent, modern, and agile Fire & Rescue Service for our community.
The successful candidate will be part of a team that are responsible for the servicing, repair, and maintenance of the fleet of emergency vehicles, plant, equipment, and support vehicles that support the Fire Service.
You will be required to take part in the emergency on‑call rota one week out of seven, where you will initially be mentored by another team member, usually for the duration of the six‑month probation period.
