Job Title: Vehicle Architecture Development Engineer

Location: Dunton, Essex (4 days onsite in office / 1 day from home - mandatory office days)

Rate: £29.59Ph increasing to £38.38Ph after 13 weeks under AWR - Umbrella Co Basis (Inside IR35)

Employment Type: Contract (12 Months)

Hours: Standard 37.5 Hours Per Week

Overview

Vehicle Architecture development Engineer (VA engineers) are responsible for establishing and delivering the fundamental layout of vehicles including the dimensions, mass balance, occupant positions and accommodation, and the mechanical arrangement with geometrical compatibility. VA engineers are the first engineering team involved in the programme and their involvement continues to Job#1 and beyond.

Skills Required
  • Excellent project and people management skills, with tenacity in resolving issues
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills; ability to interface with senior management
  • Ability to resolve complex, multi‑dimensional problems and present solutions with clarity
Skills Preferred
  • Knowledge of FEDE, PLM, CAE, CAD, Auros – E2KS and Digital Buck tools – CATIA abilities
Experience Required
  • Delivery of vehicle programmes
Experience Preferred
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle variants / configurations preferred
Education Required
  • Degree in Engineering discipline

THIS POSITION IS CONFIRMED INSIDE IR35

Location: 5 days in office with an optional 1 day remote working (In office days Mon‑Thurs). Travel: Possibly – Europe.
