The Library of LSE is a National Research Library supporting the research and teaching of LSE and social science research beyond the School. The Library plays a key role in implementing LSE’s research strategy, 'Research for the World,' including promoting open research practices in social sciences.
The Research Data Librarian, within the Research Support team, is responsible for planning, developing, and delivering research data management services for researchers, staff, and students at LSE. Responsibilities include data management planning, supporting secure and open data, and the curation, sharing, and preservation of research data.
Candidates should possess a solid understanding of research data management principles and practices and be capable of effectively communicating this knowledge to colleagues at all levels. The role requires the ability to work collaboratively within the team and across institutions, leading the development of research data management services.
