Main Purpose of Position in line with Company Objectives:
To promote the full range of products and services for Marlowe Environmental Services, particularly WCSEE, our wastewater treatment division, into the Utility Industry primarily, with occasional engagement in Commercial & Industrial markets across the UK. Depending on experience, management of other sales team members may be involved, along with regular liaison with the Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to setting the strategic plan for UK Utility, Municipal, & Industrial sectors.
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop team members as appropriate, including undertaking Individual Development Plans.
- Assist in establishing budgets and sales targets.
- Set KPIs and monitor personal performance to meet budgets and targets.
- Review progress monthly and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide rolling 3- and 6-month sales forecasts for specific projects.
- Hold regular sales and communication meetings for feedback and updates.
- Provide feedback to the Sales Director/Head of Sales on new technologies and market opportunities.
- Report on potential competitors or partners to the Sales Director/Head of Sales.
- Participate in broader company initiatives such as customer service and strategy workshops.
- Maintain high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
- Develop and expand sales opportunities by managing a diverse account portfolio, including water company engineers, operational staff, consultants, and contractors, through active promotion of Waste Water and Industrial Water Treatment products and support packages.
- Manage and develop regional business portfolios with tailored business plans supporting growth objectives.
- Interpret customer specifications and collaborate to provide solutions that promote Waste Water and Industrial Effluent products and services.
- Negotiate framework and preferred supplier agreements with water companies and stakeholders.
- Assess the penetration of competitive products and report findings to support marketing strategies.
- Manage time and activities effectively, ensuring thorough reporting of sales, forecasts, and activities.
- Achieve or exceed sales and profitability targets aligned with the UISP Market Strategy, managing a multi-channel business portfolio including utility and industrial projects.
