Job description
Urology Senior Clinical Fellow

The closing date is 28 January 2026

The Urology Department is divided into 5 teams: (A) Andrology, Penile Cancer, and Reconstruction, (B) Benign Endourology and Stones, (C) Cancer (Robotic) and Robotic Reconstruction – Upper Tract and Pelvic, (D) Functional, Female and General Urology, and (E) Emergency. Each team has at least one senior and middle grade position.

These posts are replacement positions across the teams and are for 6 months, commencing in April 2026 and ending on 30 September 2026.

The on‑call commitment is to the Urology Department at St George’s only on a 1 in 10 "registrar of the week" schedule (8‑5 Mon‑Fri and 48‑hour weekend; NROC from 20:00) and a separate 1 in 10 weekday NROC night rota.

Job responsibilities

This post is ideal for someone interested in a career in Urology through National Selection or via CESR route, with a particular interest in urological cancers. It is suitable for those at an ST3 level, or those looking for specialist training in a subspecialty area.

There will be opportunity to become involved in clinical research and quality improvement projects at an ICN and/or NHS London level.

The post holder should have completed General Professional Training and Core Surgical Training (or equivalent), be MRCS and registered with the GMC. An interest in research, audit and teaching is desirable. Opportunities for presenting and publishing papers will be encouraged.
