A leading healthcare organisation in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a consultant urologist to develop a cancer urology service, specializing in pelvic cancer and Da Vinci Robotic Prostatectomies. The candidate will provide outpatient services and participate in on-call duties. This role is ideal for a CCT or CESR holder looking for a substantive or locum position.
The three consultant urologists will require to be confident to carry out pelvic cancer work with subspecialisation in prostate cancer and Da Vinci Robotic Prostatectomies with additional subspecialty interests to complement the department. This post would suit a CCT or CESR holder for a substantive position or a fixed locum position for someone with clear plans to obtain specialist registration.
The purpose of this post is to provide and co-ordinate an effective cancer urology service and to develop a sub-specialty interest that complements the department. They are also expected to take part in all departmental activities, including on-call, audit and teaching.
