Job description

Responsibilities:

• Stationed at the site office and work on alternate Saturdays as required.
• Source and procure sub-contractors and suppliers, collating prices for comparison.
• Review and understand all specifications and construction drawings to ensure accuracy in project costing.
• Prepare cost-loading documentation to facilitate effective project management.
• Collaborate with project teams to monitor costs and budgets throughout the construction process.
• Provide timely cost estimates and support for variations and claims as necessary.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders regarding project costs and status.

Requirements:

• Degree in Building Construction, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in quantity surveying for construction projects.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of construction methods and materials.
