Contract Type: Flexible Shifts (Weekdays & Weekends)
Pay Rate: £13.85 per hour
Start Date: ASAP


We are currently seeking an experienced Receptionist to join the team at the Urgent Care Centre in Lewisham. This is a fast-paced, patient-facing role requiring excellent communication skills and strong administrative capabilities.


About the Role:

This is a flexible, shift-based position, covering weekday and weekend shifts, including evenings and bank holidays. You'll be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, helping to ensure the smooth running of the centre.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Welcoming and checking in patients in a professional and compassionate manner

  • Managing patient records and updating the system accurately

  • Answering telephone and face-to-face enquiries efficiently

  • Liaising with clinical staff to support patient flow

  • Handling administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and appointment bookings


Essential Requirements:


  • Experience using EMIS clinical system

  • Active Smart Card

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role (preferably in a healthcare setting)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy environment

  • Strong IT skills and attention to detail
